If you're wondering what I think of cockfighting... I'm not sure. I'd never take part in it, as a contestant or fan. On the other hand, it didn't bother me to snap these photos of the one I happened to pass by.
I suppose my opinion boils down to how well the roosters are treated. Roosters are naturally combative, so I can't see much wrong with letting them fight, but forcing them to do so can be a different matter. On the other hand, this pales in comparison to the abuse inflicted on chickens in too many western poultry farms, and it would be hypocritical to criticize them while ignoring that.
(By the way, I think both birds survived this particular bout).
